Nicole Hanhan, LCSW:
I’m Nicole Hanhan, a disruptor of the smallness we’ve been taught to accept. I stand for emotional leadership and authenticity. My work isn’t just about symptom relief; it’s about liberation. I help people shed the stories that silenced them and step fully into the power of who they were always meant to be.
I’m a first-generation Palestinian American, born and raised in California, and my roots shape the lens I bring to this work. I honor the complexity of identity, the impact of systems, and the strength it takes to reclaim your truth. Through this lens, I guide people back to their truth so they can live with intention, pride, and the fullness of a life worth celebrating.
Educated in both California and Arizona, I’ve come full circle — rooted in the Bay Area while continuing to serve clients in Arizona each quarter. My ability to connect with people from all walks of life has shaped my path, allowing me to build trust across diverse communities and settings. From children to first responders, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples and families through life’s hardest moments.
In addition to my work with clients, I also serve as a clinical supervisor. My supervision approach is trauma-informed and attachment-focused, integrating cultural humility and hands-on clinical insight. Supporting the next generation of clinicians is woven into my sense of purpose and I'm committed to shaping a field rooted in integrity, self-awareness, and clinical mastery.
Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in activism, music, reading, wellness, and exploring cultures through travel and food. I’ve journeyed across the Middle East, Europe, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and throughout the U.S. Animals hold a special place in my heart, especially Marcel, our mischievous little Frenchie who brings laughter and comfort to my days.
At the heart of my work is a lifelong commitment to learning and showing up with authenticity and care. I’m so glad you’re here, and I look forward to connecting.
